Paper presented at the 2010 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference GLOBECOM 2010, 1-5. doi:10.1109/GLOCOM.2010.56831999781424456383978142445637697814244563691930-529Xhttps://hdl.handle.net/11729/621http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/GLOCOM.2010.5683199We propose two encoding strategies for a two user cooperative Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system, based on block Markov superposition encoding. We obtain the expressions for the resulting achievable rate regions for both encoding strategies, and evaluate them through simulations. We show that, by allowing for re-partitioning and re-encoding of the cooperative messages across subchannels, it is possible to better exploit the diversity created by OFDMA, and higher rates can be achieved.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessMultiple-access channelsAlloccationComplexitySystemsDecodingEncodingFadingMarkov processesOFDMReceiversResource managementOFDMABlock Markov superposition encodingEncoding strategiesUser cooperative orthogonal frequency division multiple access systemOFDM modulationBlock codesFrequency division multiple accessEncoding (symbols)TelecommunicationAchievable rateAchievable rate regionEncoding strategyOrthogonal frequency division multiple access systemsRe-encodingSubchannelsAchievable rates for two user cooperative OFDMAConference Object15N/AWOS:0002879774001222-s2.0-7955163044910.1109/GLOCOM.2010.5683199N/A
