dc.description.abstractKentsel mekân, kentte yaşanan çalışma, sosyalleşme, alışveriş gibi tüm olayların gerçekleştiği yerdir ve toplumun sosyoekonomik ve kültürel yapıları tarafından şekillenmektedir. Kentsel mekân ayrıca toplumun tüm bireylerinin yaşadığı, kamusal ihtiyaçların karşılandığı yerdir. Bu alanlar bir şehrin sağlığı ile doğrudan ilişkilidir ve mekânın kalitesi yaşam kalitesini etkilemektedir. Kullanıcı tarafından oluşturulan bir mekânda, mekânsal kimlik analizine konu olabilecek pek çok unsur bulunmaktadır. Literatürde ilk ve en önemli kriterlerin tarih, coğrafya ve tasarım olduğu gösterilmiştir. Birçok araştırmacı tarafından belirlenen bu kriterler, bölgenin kimlik sahibi olmasının sağlanması açısından oldukça önemli kabul edilmektedir. Kent kimliğine sahip olmak bölgenin kalitesini arttırır ve kullanıcılara iyi bir deneyim sunar. Kullanıcılara sunulan hizmetler açısından kent mobilyaları, kamusal alanların performansına katkı sağlayan en önemli unsurlardan biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Kentsel alanlar ile kent mobilyaları arasındaki ilişki tasarım, işlev ve yaşam dahil olmak üzere birçok bağlamda tartışılmıştır, fakat kent kimliği bağlamında yeterli çalışma olmadığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, önceki çalışmalarda bu açıdan değinilmemiş kentsel mekanlardaki kent kimliğinin, kent mobilyalarıyla olan ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. İstanbul Boğaziçi bölgesi örneğinde ‘’kentsel peyzaj mobilyaları ile mekânın kimliği’’ arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılması araştırmanın temelini oluşturmaktadır. Kent mobilyaları; mekânsal farkındalığın önemli olduğu dayanıklı, işlevsel ve konforlu olmasının yanı sıra mekâna kimliğine uyum sağlamış şekilde kullanılmalıdır. Bu kapsamda farklı mimari doku açısından değerlendirilmiş bu bölgede farklı tipte birçok kent mobilyası araştırılmıştır. Bu araçların kent kimliğine etkisi değerlendirilirken; donatının mekân kalitesine katkısı ile mekâna uyumu arasındaki ilişki göz önünde bulundurulmuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractUrban space is the location where all events such as working, social and shopping in a city take place and is shaped by the socio-economic and cultural structures of society. It is also a place where all individuals of the community live, public needs are met, and a certain degree of autonomy is applied. The space is directly related to the health of a city, and the quality of the space influences the quality of life. In a space created by the user, there are numerous elements that can be subject to spatial identity analysis. Literature identifies history, geography and design as the primary and most significant criteria for this analysis. These criteria, which have been recognized by many researchers, are considered crucial for ensuring that a region possesses an identity. Having a city identity enhances the quality of the area and offers users a positive experience. In terms of services provided to users, urban furniture is regarded as one of the most critical components contributing to the performance of public spaces. The relationship between urban spaces and urban furniture has been discussed in various contexts, including design, function and life; however, there is a lack of sufficient studies in the context of city identity. This study investigates the relationship between city identity in urban spaces and urban furniture, a topic that has not been addressed in this regard in previous research. The core of the study lies in examining the relationship between urban landscape furniture and the identity of the space in the Istanbul Bosphorus region. Given its significant location and functional importance in terms of urban and commercial activities, the Istanbul Bosphorus region plays a key role in the city. Urban furniture should be durable, functional and comfortable in areas where spatial awareness is essential, while also harmonizing with the identity of the space. In this regard, various types of urban furniture in the region have been studied. While assessing the impact of these elements on the city’s identity, the relationship between the contribution of the equipment to the quality of the space and its compatibility with the space has been considered.en_US
