dc.description.abstractBu tez çalışmasında Jackson Pollock'un resimlerinde kullandığı sembollerin kökenleri araştırılarak, o dönem içerisinde Analitik Psikoloji çalışmaları ile ön plana çıkmış olan Carl Gustav Jung'un görüşleri ile bağlantısı incelenmiştir. Jung'un kişisel bilinçaltı ile kollektif bilinçaltından tezahür ettiğini söylediği arketipal sembollerin Pollock'un eserlerine yansımaları araştırılmıştır. Öncelikle Soyut Dışavurumculuk akımının oluşum süreci ve II. Dünya Savaşı'ndan sonra ABD'deki sanat ortamı incelenmiştir. Jackson Pollock'un hayatı, sanat anlayışı, Action Painting incelenmiş ve son bölümde resimlerindeki Jung psikolojisinin etkileri ortaya koyulmuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this dissertation, the origins of the symbols using in the paintings by Jackson Pollock and correspond to the period of Abstract Expressionism, Analytical Pschology studies became popular with the works of Carl Gustav Jung so the reflections and connections with his works have been researched. Primarily the development process of Abstract Expressionism and the art atmosphere of U.S.A. after world war II are examined. The last chapter contains Jackson Pollock's life, Action Painting and reveals the relationship of his works with Jung's symbols and myths.en_US
