Yayın Atmosphere of place: a look at Olafur Eliasson’s art through Peter Zumthor’s principles(Işık Üniversitesi Yayınları, 2024-10-31) Özer, İpekThe atmosphere of a space has a multilayered structure and it is related to experience, interaction between body and space and senses. Experiencing the space is crucial for perceiving the atmosphere. Additionally, when the experience appeal to multiple senses—such as touch, hearing, and smell, rather than just sight— it became enriched. Given this, it can be said that a multisensory experience is necessary for a holistic perception of a space’s atmosphere. The main aim of this study is to understand the concept of atmosphere in architecture and to explore how it can be created. The study first discusses the concepts of space, experience, relationship with senses and atmosphere. Then, nine principles defined by architect Peter Zumthor, who focuses extensively on the concept of atmosphere were examined. Since atmosphere is an abstract concept, Zumthor’s nine principles contribute to a more concrete understanding of the elements that create atmosphere. Following this, the study analyzes the atmosphere in three works by artist Olafur Eliasson: “The Weather Project,” “Din Blinde Passenger,” and “Reality Projector,” by using Zumthor’s insights. Özellikle yapay zeka uygulamaları, finansal kapsayıcılık tarafında önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Örneğin, düşük gelir düzeyine sahip bireyler, kadınlar ya da küçük işletmelerin de daha düşük maliyetlerle finansal sisteme erişimlerine olanak sağlamaktadır. Finansal teknolojiler bu açıdan değerlendirildiğinde, faydalarının sadece verimlilik ile sınırlı olmayıp ekonomik fırsat eşitliği, sosyal sürdürülebilirlik ve finansal kapsayıcılık açısından da dönüştürücü bir güç olduğu bilinmelidir. Şüphesiz her inovasyon kendi içerisinde riskler de barındırmaktadır. Veri güvenliği, algoritmik önyargı, şeffaflık ve insan gözetimi konuları, finansal sistemde dijitalleşmeye olan güvenin tesisi açısından da önem arz etmektedir. Bu koşullar yeni etik düzenlemelere olan ihtiyacı da arttırmaktadır. Bu çalışma, finansal sektördeki çeşitli teknolojik gelişmeler ve yapay zeka uygulamalarının finansal kapsayıcılığa etkisini tartışırken, konuya aynı zamanda etik, güvenilir ve sorumlu yapay zeka kavramları ile de yaklaşmayı amaçlamaktadır.
