    Temel bina akustiği uzmanlık eğitimi önkoşullarının iç mimarlık bölümü üzerinden sorgulanması

    Bina akustiği tüm dünyada mimari ve iç mimari alanlarında yapı fiziğinin ayrılmaz bir parçasını oluşturmakta ve işitsel konfor koşullarının sağlanmasında büyük bir rol oynamaktadır. Türkiye’de 2017 yılında Resmî Gazete’de yayınlanan yönetmeliğe göre belirli kat ve m2 üzerindeki yapılar için ruhsat aşamasında akustik proje ve rapor sunulması zorunlu hale gelmiştir. Bu rapor ve projeler D1 Temel Bina Akustiği Uzmanlık Sertifikasına sahip akustik uzmanlar tarafından hazırlanabilmektedir. D1 temel bina akustiği sertifika eğitimine katılım koşullarında mimarlık ve mühendislik lisans mezunu olmak yeterliyken iç mimarlık lisans mezunları ancak akustik alanında yüksek lisans derecesine sahip iseler eğitime katılmaya hak kazanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bu sınırlı durumun sorgulanması amacıyla temel akustik eğitimi vermeye yetkili eğitmenler ile yapılan ön anket çalışması ile sertifika eğitimine katılacak kişilerden beklenen yeterlilikler belirlenmiş, tespit edilen yeterliliklere iç mimarlık mezunlarının ne derece sahip olduğu ise Türkiye’de yer alan iç mimarlık bölüm çıktılarına hâkim olan bölüm başkanları ile yapılan anket ile tespit edilmiştir.

    A biomimetic design experience in informal interior architecture education

    Biomimetic design is the process of creating innovative ideas inspired by nature. This approach adapts processes of natural organisms to solve design problems and guides design in interior architecture, similar to many other disciplines. This study aims to present the process of implementing the biomimetic approach to interior architectural design in an informal education environment and to discuss the outcomes of this experience. In this context, the approach and implementation methods of biomimetic design have been examined and a workshop study called “BIOStructure”, which was intended to integrate these methods into spatial design, has been analysed. This workshop was organized as part of an International Student Triennial in order to experience the approach of biomimetic design as an informal education tool. In the workshop, students were asked to experiment with biomimetic design in either a solution-driven approach, or a problem-driven approach. As a result, it was observed that most of the students preferred a solution-driven approach to a problem-driven approach and students in earlier stages of design education tended towards form-oriented abstraction of biological knowledge, whereas students with more design experience tended towards principle-oriented abstraction.

    Vertical design studio experience in interior architecture education

    Design studios are at the core of interior architecture education. Environments where “learners form their own learning” enhance the communication between the teacherlearner, and learner–learner. Within this scope, the organization of design studios and the models that are applied are still the crucial research subjects on which teaching interior architecture works on. This paper investigates into the vertical interior design studio experience that is rebuilt in accordance with contemporary approaches towards studio education. Vertical interior design studio experience is built on associations, separations and on the interrelations between these associations and separations. The other input of this formation is the relations, associations, separations among the students within the group. The vertical studio setup that is applied during the 2016- 2017Fall Semester at Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design of FMV Işık University is examined in terms of its construction, experience process, outputs and further critical investigation is carried out on the learning method.
