    An analysis of stability of a class of neutral-type neural networks with discrete time delays

    The problem of existence, uniqueness, and global asymptotic stability is considered for the class of neutral-type neural network model with discrete time delays. By employing a suitable Lyapunov functional and using the homeomorphism mapping theorem, we derive some new delay-independent sufficient conditions for the existence, uniqueness, and global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point for this class of neutral-type systems. The obtained conditions basically establish some norm and matrix inequalities involving the network parameters of the neural system. The main advantage of the proposed results is that they can be expressed in terms of network parameters only. Some comparative examples are also given to compare our results with the previous corresponding results and demonstrate the effectiveness of the results presented.

    Quantum metrology: Surpassing the shot-noise limit with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

    Entanglement is at the heart of quantum technologies such as quantum information and quantum metrology. Providing larger quantum Fisher information (QFI), entangled systems can be better resources than separable systems in quantum metrology. However the effects on the entanglement dynamics such as decoherence usually decrease the QFI considerably. On the other hand, Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction has been shown to excite entanglement. Since an increase in entanglement does not imply an increase in QFI, and also there are cases where QFI decreases as entanglement increases, it is interesting to study the influence of DM interaction on quantum metrology. In this work, we study the QFI of thermal entanglement of two-qubit and three-qubit Heisenberg models with respect to SU(2) rotations. We show that even at high temperatures, DM interaction excites QFI of both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic models. We also show that QFI of the ferromagnetic model of two qubits can surpass the shot-noise limit of the separable states, while QFI of the antiferromagnetic model in consideration can only approach to the shot-noise limit. Our results open new insights in quantum metrology with Heisenberg models.

    Cybernetic philosophy, performativity, and new media aesthetics

    By drawing upon philosophical repercussions of cybernetics, this article reformulates the notion of performativity in the context of new media aesthetics. It links performativity to new media aesthetics via the cybernetic notions of information processing and generating systems, recursive electronic and digital feedback loops, emergency, complexity, dynamism, and autonomously evolving systems. In doing so, I argue that the operational logic and infrastructure of new media technologies can only be understood from a performative perspective. The term performance basically refers here to the movement which governs the generation and transformation of systems by putting them into action. It is through this action that the various components and parts of a system relay and process information and produce complex interactive systems. As a result, this kind of complex interactivity leads to the emergence of new forms. It is in this way that these complex systems produce new codes, configurations, and constellations. Such a formulation constitutes my starting point to describe a hybrid framework that may eventually lead to a better understanding of the essential characteristics of new media technologies and aesthetics. The shift from single, discrete, and isolated mechanical artifacts to technological systems laid the foundations for a new kind of aesthetics, the aesthetics of information processing and generating systems. The study of the art object as a system or an environment rather than a single object is crucial to address the way in which the system itself might be conceived of as an aesthetic medium. I foreground my definition of new media in the notions of medium and mediation and discuss the aesthetic possibilities brought forth by the emergence and advancement of information and communication technologies. The method used in this article is literature review.

    A review of recent innovations in remote health monitoring

    The development of remote health monitoring systems has focused on enhancing healthcare services’ efficiency and quality, particularly in chronic disease management and elderly care. These systems employ a range of sensors and wearable devices to track patients’ health status and offer real-time feedback to healthcare providers. This facilitates prompt interventions and reduces hospitalization rates. The aim of this study is to explore the latest developments in the realm of remote health monitoring systems. In this paper, we explore a wide range of domains, spanning antenna designs, small implantable antennas, on-body wearable solutions, and adaptable detection and imaging systems. Our research also delves into the methodological approaches used in monitoring systems, including the analysis of channel characteristics, advancements in wireless capsule endoscopy, and insightful investigations into sensing and imaging techniques. These advancements hold the potential to improve the accuracy and efficiency of monitoring, ultimately contributing to enhanced health outcomes for patients.
