The coexistence of two mobile systems on the same frequency band poses many new challenges, one of which is the reliable extraction of the channel allocation information (CAI), i.e. the channel occupation of the licensed system (LS). We have used the EURO-CORDEX ensemble of regional model simulations at 0.11° resolution for daily minimum and maximum temperatures to analyze future changes in extreme weather daily events. Scaling with the annual mean global warming modeled by the driving GCM was applied to future extreme temperature indices changes. Regional changes in each index were scaled by corresponding global warming levels obtained from GCMs. This approach asserts that regional patterns of climate change and average global temperature change are linearly related. It can provide information regarding climate change for periods or emission scenarios when no simulations exist. According to the results, the annual minimum of the lowest temperature of the day (TNn) increases more than the annual maximum of the highest temperature of the day (TXx) for Europe. The multi-model mean of the changes in scaled patterns of extreme temperatures emerges early, around 2020, even before it becomes robust. In this setting, (1) the economy, by construction is efficient and produces the maximally possible amount of welfare for society, and (2) asset prices reflect the utility-maximizing behavior of consumers and the profit-maximizing behavior of firms. We propose Multi(2)Test, a generalization of our previous work, for ordering multiple learning algorithms on multiple data sets from "best" to "worst" where our goodness measure is composed of a prior cost term additional to generalization error. The performance of PSA generally ranges between that obtained by CSA and FPA using the same array, and depends on the amount of hardware complexity reduction. For the work described in this paper, we performed FPA, CSA, and PSA imaging of a resolution phantom using both simulated and experimental data from a 3-MHz, 3.2-cm, 128-element capacitive micromachined ultrasound transducer (CMUT) array. The simulated system point responses in the spatial and frequency domains are presented as a means of studying the effects of signal bandwidth, reconstruction filter size, and subsampling rate on the PSA system performance. The PSA and FPA sector-scanned images were reconstructed using the wideband experimental data with 80% fractional bandwidth, with seven 32-element subarrays used for PSA imaging. The measurements on the experimental sector images indicate that, at the transmit focal zone, the PSA method provides a 10% improvement in the 6-dB lateral resolution, and the axial point resolution of PSA imaging is identical to that of FPA imaging. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of PSA image was 58.3 dB, 4.9 dB below that of the FPA image, and the contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) is reduced by 10%. The simulated and experimental test results presented in this paper validate theoretical expectations and illustrate the flexibility of PSA imaging as a way to exchange SNR and frame rate for simplified front-end hardware.Yayın Study of drying of kappa-carrageenan gel at various temperatures using a fluorescence technique(Taylor & Francis Inc, 2008-01) Tarı İlgin, Özlem; Pekcan, Mehmet ÖnderThe steady-state fluorescence technique was used to study drying of kappa-carrageenan gel at various temperatures. Pyranine was doped as a fluorescence probe, and scattered light, I-sc, and fluorescence intensities, I, were monitored during drying of these gels. It was observed that I decreased linearly as drying time is increased. The moving boundary model based on Case II diffusion was applied to produce the packing constants, k(0), at higher temperatures. Activation energy for drying was found to be 53.9 kJ mol(-1). Supporting gravimetric and volumetric measurements were also carried out during drying of gels and the corresponding activation energies were determined to be 46.4 and 58.9 kJ mol(-1), respectively.
